The Parallel, Bova and Cain Hollow Cottages are operated under a private-sector partner under contract with State Parks and are located within Allegany State Park. This 65,000-acre park is known for its primitive, forested valleys, un-glaciated landscape, fall leaves, and wildlife. Walkers, runners, and bicycle riders can take advantage of the five miles of paved trails. The Park has some of the finest groomed cross country skiing and mountain bike trails in the Northeast. Snowmobilers are attracted to Allegany State Park for its 90 miles of groomed snowmobile trail. Other activities include bird watching, fishing, hunting, picnicking, snowshoeing, canoeing, and horseback riding.

Location: Allegany State Park is located in western New York, in Cattaraugus County, just north of Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania. The park is divided into two sections: The Red House Area and the Quaker Run Area. The Red House Area's attractions include Stone Tower, the Summit Fire Tower, Red House Lake, Bridal Falls, and the Art Roscoe Ski Area.

Recreation: Activities include beach swimming; boating; fishing; hunting; horseback riding; biking; hiking; walking; visiting the museum; tennis, baseball and softball on the playing fields; and, in winter, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. Most park activities are accessible to disabled visitors.

From I-86/Rt.17 (Southern Tier Expressway): To get to the Red House Area, use Exits 19 & 20; to get to the Quaker Area, take Exit 18. From Rt. 219: Follow 219 to I-86/Rt.17 west; or from Bradford, PA, take Interstate Parkway to the Quaker Area entrance. 716-354-9121

Park Rules & Information: PLEASE NOTE: Permits for all cottage reservations are non-transferable. Only the Primary Occupant listed on the reservation will be permitted to check in. Allegany State Park Hunting Guidelines (click on the Hunting tab): parks.ny.gov Bear Notice: Be advised that you're camping in bear country. Do not leave food, garbage, coolers, or other containers unattended as they can attract bears. Wildlife policy will be provided at check-in. The Access Pass/Lifetime Liberty Pass is NOT accepted for the Bova, Parallel, and Cain Hollow Cottages. Tents are NOT permitted in the cottage areas. Smoking is NOT permitted in any of the cottages. Valid reservations allow 1 vehicle free entry at tollbooths. Additional vehicles must pay the first time through and will be issued car passes upon registration. BOVA Cottages are located in the Red House Area. PARALLEL and CAIN HOLLOW Cottages are located in the Quaker Area. Peak Season runs from the end of June to the end of August each year. During this time the cottages require a 7 or 14-night minimum stay. Non-peak season requires a 2-night minimum. Bova Cottages - Peak Season 1 to 8 - Sunday to Sunday 9 to 15 - Saturday to Saturday Parallel Cottages - Peak Season 1 to 8 - Sunday to Sunday 9 to 15 - Saturday to Saturday Cottages at Cain Hollow - Peak Season 1 to 5 - Friday to Friday 6 to 10 - Sunday to Sunday 11 to 15 - Monday to Monday ATTENTION PET OWNERS: Current proof of rabies inoculation is required at check-in (metal tags will not be accepted). At any time during your stay, pet owners may be required to provide proof of rabies inoculation upon request. Be sure to have this information available to present to park staff. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft and under control at all times. Do not leave pets unattended and always clean up after them. Pet owners/permit holders are liable for any damage, personal injury, or nuisance caused by the pet. Where pets are permitted, there is a maximum limit of 2 pets per site. Pets are permitted in Bova Cottages 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12; Parallel Cottages 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 13, 14; and Cain Hollow Cottages 1, 2, 6, 7, 11, 12. Additional cleaning and/or damage charges may be deducted from your security deposit. PRE-REGISTRATION: Have an existing reservation? Don't forget to PRE-REGISTER!! Two days prior to arrival you can sign into Reserve America and pre-register. IT SAVES TIME. LENGTH OF STAY: A camping party and their equipment may occupy a site for a maximum of 14 continuous nights. After which, the camping party and equipment must leave the site and facility for 48 hours before registering again for another site. Please Note: To ensure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window cannot be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. Facilities

ASP Partners, a private-sector partner under contract with State Parks, operate the Parallel, Bova and Cain Hollow Cottages. Each cottage area offers 15 fully-equipped cottages. The Bova and Parallel cottages are open year-round. The Cottages at Cain Hollow are open April - end of November.
