Ashland is open 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM during our summer operating season. Info on parking fees, beach water quality, and more are available on our website. Ashland offers one small Pavilion with a capacity of about 50 people. There is no water, electricity, or bathroom facility at the group site. There is one 3x3’ grill and a few picnic tables under the Pavilion shelter. Marked and labeled trails lead to the beach and bathrooms, approximately 10 minutes away on foot. IMPORTANT: On summer weekends and some holidays, this park may reach maximum day-use capacity and gates will be temporarily closed. No vehicles or patrons on foot will be allowed entry until gates reopen. PLEASE BE ADVISED: This site is intended for a self-catered picnic or simple gathering with a maximum of 50 participants. Should you be interested in catering, amplified music, equipment requiring the use of generators, bounce houses, fundraising events, any sales or money collection, etc., you will need to secure permission via a Special Use Permit. Applications are subject to fees and an approval process and are often submitted months to a year in advance. All garbage is your responsibility and must be bagged and transported to a dumpster in the park. There is no trash receptacle on site at the Pavilion. Decorations may not damage park property, vegetation, or soils. Signs, banners, and party decorations may be secured only by masking or painters’ tape, or by cotton string that may be cut easily for cleanup. The use of duct tape, adhesives, nails, tacks, staples, or any other fasteners that may damage surfaces are prohibited. Digging holes for posts and/or altering vegetation in grassy fields is prohibited. NEW: As part of the Commonwealth’s efforts to reduce the use of single-use plastics, balloons and confetti of any kind are prohibited on DCR property. Pets must be on leash and attended by a capable adult at all times. Clean up after your pet and dispose of waste in a trash receptacle.
From Rte 495, take exit 21A to merge onto W Main St toward Hopkinton; Continue on W Main St. Drive to MA-135 E in Ashland.

Check-Out time is 30 minutes prior to the posted park closing time. All vehicles must exit the park before the gates are locked for the night. No exceptions. Park hours are 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Vehicles still inside the park after the posted closing time will be locked in and authorities will be notified. Overnight camping is prohibited at this facility. No early entry or late exit allowed. All setup and cleanup must occur within posted park hours. Parking: The pavilion rental fee does not include vehicle entry fees. Each vehicle will be required to purchase and display a valid parking pass. Reservations do NOT include reserved parking spaces, and parking at any location by the general public is allowed. Advance tickets and/or batch payments are not available.
