Location
Tiger Bay State Forest is over 27,000 acres of woodlands and wetlands that provide a critical aquifer recharge for the local area. Also found on the forest are two lakes, Indian Lake and Scoggin Lake, and several ponds. Coon Pond is a natural water body, while Rattlesnake Pond, Woody Pond and Ranch Pond are man-made ponds that are available to the public for fishing. Recreation
Tiger Bay State Forest has a campground, a group camp, equestrian campground, day-use areas and recreation trails that offer a variety of activities such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, picnicking, fishing, boating, birding, wildlife viewing, photography and hunting. The forest also has the Pershing Highway Trail, a short scenic hike over a mile of brick road constructed in 1917.
