Getting There

From I-84, take exit #18, head east 3.4 miles on the Historic Columbia River Highway (hwy 30). Dabney is .25 miles east of the Stark St. bridge on the right. From Portland, go east on Stark St. to the Stark St. bridge, go across and turn right onto the Historic Columbia River Highway (hwy 30), go east .25 miles. The entrance to Dabney is on the right.

Rules & Important Info

OPRD is considering changing park rules that may impact your reservation including refunds and cancellations. Read more about proposed rules and share your comment. Microwave Fire Impact on Hood River to Mosier Section of State Trail: The trail is open, but there may be hazards such as rocks and fallen trees. Please stay on the trail and do not enter the burned area. Keep pets on a leash and out of the burned zone for safety. This park is day use only Picnic shelter reservations do not cover the per vehicle day use parking fee. All vehicles must display valid OPRD pass or permit that covers parking fees. Daily permits available for purchase on site. Site hours vary seasonally. June – Aug: 7am to 10 pm. Sept – May: 7am – dusk. Contact park for exact closing time during winter months Parking is limited and first come/first serve. Arrive early, as park may fill up fast. Events may require special use permits. Please contact the park at least 30 days prior to arrival for: Special events involving non-traditional park activities (weddings/car shows/baptisms, etc) Approval of caterers/vendors Use of kegs (OLCC permit will be required) Set up of bouncy houses, waterslides or other inflatables Approval of amplified sound such as sound systems, bands, DJs or other entertainment Setup of personal items such as trailer barbeques, tables, chairs or decorations Driving stakes into the ground Coordinating day use fee tally for guest parking fee payment Park Rules No pets allowed (service animals only) Consumption of alcohol allowed by persons 21 and over Helmets are required for anyone under 16 who are riding bicycles, scooters, skate boards or roller blades. Smoking tobacco products only allowed in vehicles, in accordance with all applicable laws governing smoking in vehicles This site is subject to a longer cancellation window. .
