Farewell Bend State Recreation Area features a beautiful desert experience on the banks of the Snake River's Brownlee Reservoir. Enjoy fishing and boating. Historic markers and interpretive displays provide information on Farewell Bend's significance on the Oregon Trail. The campground is open from about April 11 - Oct. 31, weather permitting. Camping may open earlier or stay open longer depending on winter weather. Check park advisories on stateparks.oregon.gov for updates, or call the park. Camping is first-come, first-served during the months of November through mid-April.

Water is shut off to sites Oct-April. Showers remain available Only one vehicle is included with standard camp fees. A second vehicle kept at a campsite (or alternate parking area) is subject to a nightly Extra Vehicle fee of $10. Now available: Register extra vehicles online when booking or before check-in. Water levels fluctuate on the reservoir. Current water levels are posted on idahopower.com. Mosquito populations can be high during the summer. Campfire restrictions may be in place during the summer; check ahead. Fireworks are prohibited.
