Fort Niagara State Park
Recreation: Fort Niagara State Park has a boat launch providing access to the Lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario, woodland hiking trails, swimming pools, a view of Lake Ontario, picnic grounds, playgrounds, water fowl hunting (seasonal), 18 soccer fields. In winter, visitors can cross-country ski, snowshoe, and sled.

Pet Policy Dogs on a leash - not exceeding six feet in length. Not permitted in buildings, camping, bathing, and picnic areas except where needed as a seeing eye, guide dog (service dog). Proof of license, tags, and a valid rabies vaccination must be demonstrated. Please Note: Pets are not permitted at any facility in the Long Island Region.
Be sure to visit the Fort Niagara's Nature Center, located adjacent to the swimming pool. Interpretive programs available during peak season.
