This 5,000-acre forest includes 25 miles of trails for hiking, and horse-back riding. It's also home to a 227-acre Wompanoag reservation. The forest lies mostly in the center of the town of Freetown (about a third of the town) dividing Assonet, East Freetown, and Fall River's northern most boundary.

From Route 24, take Exit 10 (N. Main Street/Freetown); Continue east on N. Main St to Slab Bridge Rd; Turn Left onto Slab Bridge Road; Entrance to Freetown State Forest is on the right- 110 Slab Bridge Road

36'x20' Covered Pavillion with approximately 6 picnic tables and room for up to 40 guests. If additional space is needed, guests may bring up to 2 folding tables (no more than 2 please!); NOTE: Decorations are ok, only tape may be used to hang the decorations and everything must be cleaned up prior to departure.
