About this park

<p>J.T. Cheeseman Provincial Park is located in western Newfoundland approximately 10 km from Channel-Port aux Basques on the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1. This gateway park is a great starting point or ending destination for your visit to Newfoundland and Labrador. The endangered Piping Plover calls the sandy dunes of this provincial park home in the summer.</p> <p>Route 1, Trans Canada Highway, 10 km east of Port aux Basques.</p> <p>The J.T.
