La Mauricie - Fishing

La Mauricie National Park allows visitors to fish with the greatest respect for the protection of natural resources. Anglers must be aware of the many park-specific regulations designed to maintain the integrity of aquatic ecosystems. <b>Youth 16 and under may fish on the same permit as an adult on the condition that they are accompanied by that adult.</b> Note that the catch limit applies to the permit and not to the number of people on the permit. <br><br> Every person who has purchased a fishing permit must return it to one of the inventory stations to record the number of fish captured and to determine the level of effort in doing so, whether or not the person fished and whether or not any fish were caught. <br><br> Operating date: May 30, 2026<br> Closing date: September 6, 2026<br> Recreational fishing days are Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
