La Salle Lake State Recreation Area

Open since 2011 and currently under development, Minnesota's newest state recreation area offers a great wilderness experience and peaceful getaway amid red and jack pine forests and woodlands. A fish haven, La Salle Lake is the deepest natural inland lake in the state. Other highlights include a coldwater stream, a scientific and natural area, and a pristine stretch of the Mississippi River.
