About this park

Only a short drive from metro Halifax/Dartmouth, Laurie Provincial Park is the perfect escape from the urban rush, yet the park is close enough for day trips in to visit the many attractions found in the metro area. The quiet lakeside setting offers a wide range of outdoor opportunities including camping, canoeing, fishing, and swimming. The park offers a 63-site wooded campground, comfort station (showers and flush toilets), dishwashing station, large picnic area, and a small unsupervised beach on Shubenacadie-Grand Lake. Although there are no serviced sites, water taps, and vault toilets are conveniently located throughout the campground. Oakfield Provincial Park, just a few kilometres north, offers a large open picnic area, boat launch and a sand beach ideal for family swimming. Located at Grand Lake on Route 2. The park is 8 km (5 mi.) west of Highway 102, Exit 7 Enfield.
