About this park

Max V. Shaul State Park is a small, quiet camping area with 30 wooded tent and trailer sites. The park has shady picnic grounds, as well as playing fields. There is a nature and hiking trail, fishing is allowed in Panther and Schoharie Creeks. A car top boat/fishing access trail to the Schoharie Creek was established in 2011. The park offers a group camping area as well. The park's proximity to Mine Kill State Park opens many more recreational opportunities to campers. Mine Kill offers an Olympic size pool, wading pool and a diving pool at no additional cost to campers with a valid camping permit. Hiking trails, boating (by permit) and Mine Kill Falls overlook are also available to campers.
