The campground is nestled in an old-growth forest at 6,000 ft. (1,829 m) in elevation. Situated on a bluff roughly 200 feet above Annie Creek, the campground is tucked away in a forest of lodgepole pine, and it is composed of seven loops lettered A thru G that are primarily built for tent/car camping.
Recreation: Crater Lake National Park has over ninety miles of established trails and a robust Ranger-led education program available during the summer months. Mazama Village, adjacent to the campground, features a general store, a gift shop, a casual dining restaurant with outdoor seating and a gas station. The Rim Village is located six miles north of the campground with majestic views of the lake and the historic 33-mile Rim Drive circles Crater Lake with views from 30 overlooks.
