About this park

<p>On the shore of Lake Michigan, visitors to Mears State Park can spend the day relaxing with a book or enjoying the water at our third-of-a-mile long sandy beach. Kayaks and stand up paddle boards are available for rent in the Village of Pentwater. A short walk away, visitors can shop, dine or take in one of the many summer festivities in the Pentwater business district.</p> <p>At Mears State Park, the fun doesn't stop in the fall. Weather permitting, we're open for winter activities such as dog walking, cross country skiing/snowshoeing, and fishing in Pentwater Channel . We also boast the best sledding hill in the area!</p>
