This is an Oregon Department of Forestry operated campground. Nehalem Falls Campground provides tranquil camping opportunities along the Nehalem State Scenic Waterway. Located approximately 10 miles east of Wheeler, the campground provides 14 first-come-first-served drive-in campsites, 6 walk-in first-come-first-served campsites, and 1 reservable group site. A short ¾ mile hiking trail circumnavigates the campground and leads through a stand of old growth Sika spruce and western hemlock. Views of the river corridor as well as Nehalem Falls, a low falls surrounded by a basalt ledge are plentiful.
Campground operating season is mid-May through September. First-come-first-served drive-in campsite fees are $20, first-come-first served walk-in campsite fees are $15, and the reservable group site fee is $50. This is an Oregon Department of Forestry operated campground. Maximum occupancy for the group site is 24 people. Please be aware that group site has a roughly 48'x28' parking area. All vehicles must park within site boundary.. Discharge of any firearm, pellet gun, bow and arrow, slingshot, or other weapon capable of injuring any person, bird or animal is prohibited.
