Nutimik Lake New Campground

About this park

Nutimik, Cree for "up the river", is the namesake of this beautiful Whiteshell campground. A trek up to Blueberry Hill will give you a great view of Nutimik Lake and the Winnipeg River. In the tradition of the native peoples of centuries ago, canoe along the lakeshore or river. Learn about nature and culture at the many interpretive programs, or visit the Petroforms. Hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and tennis opportunities are offered within the vicinity of the campground which has electrical & water, electrical or basic camping sites. Some of these sites are enclosed in the shelter of trees and offer privacy, while other sites provide hook-ups for modern trailers. Other amenities include a beach, boat launch, playground and picnic areas.<br><br> <b>Located in the Campground</b><br> Boat launch (near the beach), dump station, hiking, kiosk (campground office), modern washrooms, pay showers, picnic areas (near beach), pit privies, playground (swings only), swimming (unsupervised beach), volleyball (at beach), and water taps.<br><br> <b>Located in the Park</b><br> Baseball (1 Betula Lake group use area & 1 Across from Ott), biking (Forester's Footsteps Trail and the TransCanada Trail), boating and canoeing (Winnipeg River System), convenience store (Nutimik Lodge), firewood (available for purchase), fishing (license required), gas station, gift shop, rentals (bike at Pinewood Lodge, canoe at Nutimik Lodge, kayak at Betula Lodge, paddle boat), restaurant, tennis (across hwy from Nutimik Campground), and video store.<br><br> <b>Located Outside the Park</b><br> Doctor, drug store, golf (18 holes), and laundry.
