Set up an alert →The campground is situated on the banks of the Mad River, at an elevation of 1,621 feet. Ponderosa pines tower over the area, which also contains several open meadows that are great for wildflower viewing during the spring bloom season. The surrounding forest provides excellent habitat for a wide range of wildlife. Visitors may catch glimpses of mule deer, bald eagles, and a variety of woodpeckers and owls.
