Recreation: This campground offers access to many recreational opportunities for the adventurer. OHV and Wilderness hiking are the two most popular options. OHV options include skill levels from beginner to expert riding. For those looking to take it easy, use the Forest Road 740 for scenic forest riding. For those looking for more of a challenge, use the Silver Creek road (780) or Calamity Pass. Those looking for wilderness access, use the Silver Creek, South Fork, Jack Park, Jack Creek, Illinois River, or Illinois Pass Trail Heads. All of these trail heads take you into the Never Summer Wilderness which is the back side of Rocky National Park.
