About this park

<p>Pinware River Provincial Park is located in southern Labrador on the Labrador Straits on Route 510, 40 km east of Blanc Sablon. A ferry crosses from St. Barbe on the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland to Blanc Sablon, Quebec. The 68 hectare park covers diverse terrain and vegetation and is located on a scheduled salmon river. Red Bay National Historic Site, home to a 16 century Basque whaling station, is nearby.
