About this park

Attractions Platte River State Park sits about half way between Omaha and Lincoln and offers year-round accommodations and recreational use. This park with its beautiful views of the Platte River offer a spectacular array of lodging with modern housekeeping cabins, camper cabins, teepees, group meeting facilities and activities. Located near Louisville, just off of I-80 at exit 426. Near to the park there are several attractions. Nearby Attractions include Eugene T. Mahoney State Park, Louisville State Recreation Area, the Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium and Schramm Park, the Strategic Air and Space Museum, Lee G. Simmons Conservation Park, Quarry Oaks Golf Club and Iron Horse Golf Club. Overnight Accommodations Camper Cabins: Sixteen cabins have heat/air conditioning. There are 31 of these cabins, grouped around central shower-latrine buildings, with four to six units in a pod. Each cabin has a refrigerator, fire grate for outdoor cooking and a picnic table, and linens are provided. With costs held down, the visitor can enjoy the park complex on a small budget. Rent a Tepee: You can rent an actual tepee in the Pawnee tepee village. Each tepee accommodates 6 to 8 people. Some concession has been made to modern comfort, though, with wooden floors replacing the packed earth of the traditional dwelling. Modern Cabins There are 21 housekeeping cabins, which have fully equipped kitchenettes among their more modern amenities. These cabins also have bathrooms, and linens are provided. Meeting Facilities Hold your next meeting or next group gathering at Platte River State Park's Mallet Lodge. Mallet Lodge has a kitchen and a meeting capacity of 125 people. For those meetings that need Internet access, Mallet Lodge provides meeting guests with wireless Internet. Restaurant The Scott Lodge Restaurant at Platte River State Park provides guest with a beautiful view of the Platte River while they enjoy a buffalo burger or other menu items.
