Come and see the abundance of wildlife this park has to offer, including rare dragonflies and turtles. You might also wish to visit the historical Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) buildings or take a hike along a portion of the Metacomet-Monadnock trail.
From I-91: Take exit 3 off I-91. Go over the South End Bridge, staying to the right, and merge onto the rotary. Follow the rotary around to Rt. 57. From 57, take the exit marked "Main St. - Agawam/W. Springfield". Follow Main Street and continue onto Springfield Street. At the fork near CVS, bear right. The park will be about a half mile further on the right.
Once you have made your reservation, please call the park to discuss your plans for the day at 413-786-2877. Please be advised that this facility may reach capacity early in the day. Once the parking lot is full, your guests will not be able to enter. Please plan accordingly. All members of your party must pay the facility Parking Fee, if applicable. Alcohol is prohibited in all DCR Facilities. Children must be attended at all times. Children 16 and under must wear bicycle helmets while riding bicycles. Pets must be attended and leashed at all times; are prohibited from swimming beaches and state buildings, including restrooms. Pick up after your pet and deposit waste in trash. Please clean up the area after use. Do not wash dishes in bathroom sinks or at public faucets. Bring paper goods for your outing or plan to transport and wash dishes at home. Decorations may be hung with thumb tacks or tape. No duct tape, nails or staples. Remove all balloons and decorations. Pavilion reservations are rain or shine events. There are no refunds, unless cancelled with ReserveAmerica prior to reserved date. Weddings and receptions are not allowed without a Special Use Permit
Please be advised, the rental of this facility is generally for a self-catered picnic or simple gathering. Should you be interested in having a caterer, amplified music, a bounce house, fundraising event, etc. you will need to secure permission via a special event permit. There is a $45 non-refundable application fee, a Certificate of Liability Insurance will be required and you will be need to submit a Covid-19 Compliance Plan stating how you will meet the Governor’s guidelines. For many years it has been the DCR’s policy to prohibit balloon release on state property.
