Recreation: Greers Ferry Lake is an outdoor enthusiasts' dream, with boating, sailing, water skiing, swimming, scuba diving and fishing opportunities. Sugar Loaf Mountain Island National Nature Trail is adjacent to the campground, on an island within the lake. The trail must be accessed by boat, but visitors who tackle the 1.5-mile hike reach levels 1,001 ft. above sea level, providing impressive panoramic views of the surrounding lake and countryside.
Nearby: With over 30,000 acres of water surface, the lake serves as a playground for all kinds of water sports. Eighteen parks around the shoreline provide modern campgrounds, boat ramps, swim areas and marinas.
