Please read before making shelter reservation:

1. All Title 36 rules and regulations are enforced. The picnic area and its facilities will not be used for commercial activities or for profit, and all use will be in accordance with applicable state, local, and federal laws. The exercise of the privileges hereby granted shall be under the general supervision of the Park Ranger(s) and subject also to such regulations as may be prescribed by the Ranger from time to time. The Ranger represents the Operations Project Manager and shall be the final authority in any questions of policy or practice.

2. The United States government and its employees shall not be held responsible for damages to property or injury to persons which may arise or be incident to the exercise of the privileges granted to the permittee.

3. Certain activities may require a Special Use Permit, which requires the permittee to obtain liability insurance. Contact a Park Ranger for specifics on Special Use Permit requirements. The permittee shall exercise due care in the use of the premises so as not to adversely impact on environmental resources. No trees or other vegetative growth shall be cut or damaged without the expressed permission of the Ranger.

4. This reservation is subject to termination by the Corps of Engineers if the permittee fails to comply with any of its requirements. It is the responsibility of the permittee to inform all participants and caterers of conditions and terms set forth in this permit.

5. Parking is limited. The permittee is responsible for informing participants to park in designated parking areas. Vehicles shall not be parked in violation of posted restrictions, or in such a manner as to obstruct or impede normal or emergency traffic movement or the parking of other vehicles, create a safety hazard, or endanger any person, project property, or environmental feature. Vehicles so parked are subject to removal and impoundment at the owner’s expense.

6. The use of water balloons is prohibited in all day use areas.

7. Clean up and disposal of garbage. The permittee is responsible to insure that cleanup is accomplished before leaving the site. Garbage shall be disposed of in dumpsters at sites when available.

8. Interagency America the Beautiful Passes are not accepted for any shelter reservation.

9. Shelter Reservation fees are refundable up to seven days before the reservation.

10. Pets must be on a leash or a 6 foot lead. Owners must clean up pets’ waste. Service animals only allowed in bathhouses. Please no unreasonable amount of noise from pets.

11. Tom Bevill East Bank Day Use is open all day.

12. All other requests not covered above will be subject to approval by the Park Manager.
