Operated seasonally, Watson Pond State Park is a popular destination for families. This 10-acre park offers beachfront picnic areas, a bath house, a playground, and a small reservable pavilion. The pavilion is limited to 50 persons maximum. Lifeguards are on duty 7 days a week until Labor Day. The Parking lot is open daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm. The restroom are open from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
From Rt 495 S take a right on Bay Street, From Rt 495 N take a left on Bay Street. Go approx. 1 mile park is on right.
Please be advised that the parking lot may reach capacity early in the day. Once the parking lot is full, your guests will not be able to enter. Parking is available from 10:00am to 6:00pm Please plan accordingly. All members of your party must pay the facility Parking Fee, if applicable. Alcohol is prohibited in all DCR Facilities. Children must be attended at all times. Children 16 and under must wear bicycle helmets while riding bicycles. Pets must be attended and leashed at all times; are prohibited from swimming beaches and state buildings, including restrooms. Pick up after your pet and deposit waste in trash. Please clean up the area after use. Use available trash and recycling receptacles. Do not wash dishes in bathroom sinks or at public faucets. Bring paper goods for your outing or plan to transport and wash dishes at home. Decorations may be hung with thumb tacks or tape. No duct tape, nails or staples. Remove all balloons and decorations. Pavilion reservations are rain or shine events. There are no refunds, unless cancelled ReserveAmerica two days prior to reserved date. IMPORTANT: The rental of this facility is generally for a self-catered picnic or simple gathering. Should you be interested in having a caterer, a bounce house, fundraising event, etc. you will need to secure permission via a special event permit. There is a $45 non-refundable application fee, a Certificate of Liability Insurance will be required and you will be need to submit a Covid-19 Compliance Plan stating how you will meet the Governor’s guidelines.
