About Wendell State Forest

Wendell State Forest is over 7000 acres of rolling forested hills, streams, ponds, trails, and a picnic area. You can visit Wendell sunrise to sunset any time of year. It has 2 pavilions that can be reserved in advance for special events or group use.

Location: Scenic vistas and wildlife viewing.

Recreation: Miles of hiking trails including a portion of the New England Trail.

Nearby Attractions

Wendell State Forest abuts Millers River, many local conservation properties, nearby is Mt. Grace State Forest and Erving State Forest - which offers overnight camping sites.

Rules & Important Info

Check-in at Park Office upon arrival for important updates. Pavilion hours are limited due to the availability of park staff. No public restrooms available at this time.

Facilities

Each pavilion will accommodate approximately 50 persons, picnic tables and charcoal grills provided.
